“Is it possible to use this scanner WITHOUT installing the software? I can't install software on my computer at work, but am DESPERATE for a way to scan things to PDF - ie, just scan directly to PDF files in a folder on my hard drive. Possible?”

Yep. Works with windows 10 and is but you need an active internet connection then the software can use the native software.
