Yes it scans color and front and back.

The Epson ES400 scanner I bought is being used to scan document folders to PDF so we can destroy the hard file folders to make room. If you're looking to only scan documents to save them as a digital file then this is for you. This model does not print copies.

This is NOT a printer. It scans documents in color and then stores the scanned file on your desktop.
