I have not gotten to that point yet, so I really can't say. I know HP is notorious for not printing when one of the color cartridges goes dry. Being an IT Pro I've gotten fed up with HP. This Epson printer just replaced an HP all in one that failed after 5 months with a "Print System/Print Head" failure and less than 20 pages printed. Needless to say it went straight in the trash. Done with them.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No. According to the manufacturer’s documentation all inks must be present for the printer to print. This is true even though printing in black only uses black ink. Has something to do with protecting the print head from clogging.
