• I believe you can print from a flash drive. For the second scenario, if you meant, can it scan and save directly to a USB drive yes it can. Just plug it in the USB access port located at the front of the printer, and select function you want it to perform.

• You can print from a flash drive. When I plug in my flash drive, the printer only lists JPEG and TIFF files that are on the drive. I would have thought it could also print PDF files, but those don't appear in the list. It does not appear to be able to hand Word, Excel and other types of image files or documents. I'm not sure what you mean by scan FROM a flash drive. If you mean scan TO a flash drive, then the answer is yes, you can. It can create JPEG, TIFF and PDF files.
