“Because the workforce series are recommended for volume users would this model have issues with clogged inkjets from low use? I will not be printing lots of pages like an office, but want a good home office /artist projects printer which may go unused for periods of time. Is there a better printer to be recommended for my use?”

Honestly, if you're a light user like I am, then no. I would not recommend this printer. I have this printer and I'm already regretting buying it. The ink ran out too fast (don't let the size of it's cartridges fool you), and I had to use most of the ink from the 2nd set of cartridges (I bought the XL version) just to unclog most of the inkjet nozzles (couldn't unclogged them all). I'm returning the printer back since it's still under warranty.

I only do about 100 pages a month (google maps and some pages with color logos) and have no issues, probably not a bad idea to print a few pages a week to keep it flowing. I was out of town for 2 weeks at a time with no issues. It's worth paying more for the printer to get more pages from a cartridge and faster printing and features.
