• You can choose to scan at various resolutions and sizes, also B&W or color. Each of these decisions will effect the size of your scanned file. The best way to work with the entire file after those decisions is using Adobe Acrobat Professional. If you need more information the Users Manual for the WF-7820/7840 is available on the Epson website.

• Hi ArtC, Yes. The scanner driver software included with the WorkForce Pro WF-7840 allows you to set the compression level of PDF files for smaller files sizes. Regards, Mark - The Epson Team.
