• The 7820 has one paper tray and the 7840 has two. I haven't seen any other differences.

• Hi, The main difference is that the WF-7840 can hold 500 sheets in two paper trays. Twice as much paper as the WF-7820, which has a single 250 sheet paper tray. Regards, Mark - The Epson Team.
