QuestionIs it 12v? How can I charge it while on the go?

- Answer You can charge using the AC adapter in an electrical outlet, or charge using the USB cord. It won't charge while in use. You can attach the USB to your laptop to charge, or get a USB adapter car charger and charge by that means. I just bought a USB car charger with multiple ports for around $10.

- Answer We print in a tow truck from an iPhone, wirelessly. It generates it's own Wi-Fi signal then shows up as a Wi-Fi signal in settings. Connect to that Wi-Fi and you're good to go.

- Answer I print in black and white almost exclusively. Yes, you can print color documents in black and white. When you select print on a document it will give you an option for printer settings and you pick black and white from there. You have to select it for each document you print.

QuestionHow big is it. I travel a lot. Need to be able to put in my carry on bag on plane.

- Answer This printer easily fits in my bag. It's about 11x4x4. I also tuck in the charging cord, an extra black cartridge (I rarely use color) and a folder with paper and there's plenty of room for iPad, jacket, neck pillow and snacks. I could put some of that stuff in my purse and put my purse in the bag, and call it my personal item. If you don't need it during flight, then this would just take a small fraction of your carry on bag.

QuestionIf the COLOR ink is empty, will WF-100 print B&W docs with black ink? Mine won't even though black document ink is FULL - shuts down, won't even scan!

QuestionI see there has been no activity on the comment page since 2016 is there a newer model of this printer available? I travel a lot and need a portable light printer to print from my laptop using the same wifi is this possible how long does the ink last?

- Answer I can answer the network question. It is as easy to set up as any other wireless printer. If you have access to the password or the router on a network you can put your printer on that network. This is easy on a private network in a home where you may be staying, but not so easy at a hotel with a public network. In situations where you have no Internet or you cannot put your printer on the same network as your printer, you can use the printer as a wireless access point. When you want to print, disconnect from the hotel wireless network and connect to the printer wireless. Print, disconnect from the printer wireless, and then reconnect to the hotel or other wireless network for Internet access. If you are able to connect your printer on a public WIFI network, you are opening yourself to possible security problems, so I would not do that.

- Answer You can install it by downloading the driver from the website. I don't have a CD drive on my laptop either, and it works flawlessly.

- Answer you do not need an Internet connection of any kind for the two devices to work you're only using the Wi-Fi on your device for the chew to communicate much like Bluetooth
