he eufyCam 3 system requires internet connectivity for remote access, but its requirements are minimal and specific: HomeBase 3: Must be connected to your home router via an Ethernet cable (wired). It does not support Wi‑Fi for itself. Cameras: They do not connect to the internet directly. They communicate with the HomeBase wirelessly via a proprietary wireless protocol. All video recording and AI processing happen locally on the HomeBase. Network requirements: Your modem/router must have available Ethernet port for the HomeBase. Upload bandwidth requirement is very low (around 1 Mbps) — a standard home internet connection is more than enough, since only live streams and alerts are sent to the cloud. If your internet goes out, the system continues recording locally; you just can't view it remotely.
