It detects motion only , so you have to select what you want it to detect . Humans , cars or pets or all.

Here’s how it works: Default Mode: The cameras use AI and PIR motion detection to start recording only when motion is detected. No Continuous 24/7 Recording: Out of the box, eufyCam 3 cameras do not support constant, 24/7 CVR (Continuous Video Recording) like some wired security cameras, because they are battery-powered and rely on solar charging. Reasons: Continuous recording would drain the batteries very quickly, even with solar charging, and require much larger storage. Alternative: You could set the motion sensitivity to high and choose longer recording durations per event, but it’s still event-based, not a true continuous feed. If you need constant live video recording, you’d have to use a wired eufy Indoor Cam model or other continuous-recording systems.
