All the mountings I see in the pictures are on a wall. This makes no sense to me. It would be much easier to mount from an overhead such as under an eve. Can this unit be mounted from over head? null

Unfortunately I thought the same thing when I purchased the cameras so I looked on Amazon and purchased some inexpensive mounts that came in a 2 pack and they worked great.

Not really, the mount is for a wall the swivel part would not accommodate the angle for proper aiming for viewing. If you are looking for a camera for a ceiling mount I would recommend Solo outdoor Cam C22. It has a setting for ceiling mount and can be adjustable in very small increments to get a great view of areas you need to watch. Very easy to mount and you add a Micro SD card for onboard storage. It acts independently and doesn't need a home-base like these cameras. But the eufy application displays all cameras added and can be easily accessed and viewed. So you can add different cameras for different locations and requirements.
