“I understand that you turn the light off using the app on the phone but can you turn off the recording of video because of motion? I would like to be able to shut off the recording of the video while we are home and sitting on our patio?”

It doesn't seem to be programmable, but you can shut off Motion Detection and then turn it back on when you want it.
