Yes, you can simply mount it to the exterior wall and feed the cord through a drilled hole, and plugin with a power cord. The junction box is mainly used to protect the cords from rain. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I don’t think this would work. This unit has a hole in the middle for a bolt to slide thru that screws into a bracket. That bracket needs to be installed in a junction box. At least that’s what it’s designed to do.
