A:AnswerI have also the august lock and that works with HomeKit and I barely used it with apple HomeKit. This lock having the finger print reader I double you will ever need to use your phone unless you’re opening the door to someone.
A:AnswerContacted Eufy and was informed that this should not be the case. My second lock does not work with the original key, but the first lock works with both keys so it appears that the first lock is defective. Working with support to have it replaced. (Edit - this is the OP just in case the username is different... not suer why)
