• The battery lasts about a year, and you can recharge many times, so probably it will last more time than you need. PS. if does not work anymore for any reason you can buy a broken one at eBay and replace the battery.

• The battery is supposed to last about a year under normal circumstances. When the battery gets low all you have to do is pop the doorbell off your wall with the key it comes with and take it in the house and charge it with the charger that it comes with. It usually takes about an hour to charge, and then you put the camera back on your wall.
