QuestionSays wired and battery, which is it for the camera/doorbell? I can see the Chime part requires and outlet. But not quite sure about the other part as the description isn't very helpful in that regard.

- Answer The doorbell uses the battery for power to operate. The mention of being wired refers to the available charging options. If you would like the unit to be completely wireless, you may install it as such and ever few months you will need to remove the battery form the unit and bring it inside to charge back up. Or you may choose to connect your existing doorbell wiring which will trickle charge the battery so you never have to pull the battery out and recharge it. What's so nice about this device over their wired only offering is that because the doorbell uses only the battery for power, it will work with your existing door chime with no problem. That is the way I have mine set up. I much prefer the sound of my original door chime to the one form the Homebase module.

QuestionCan I view the video from a cellular connection on my phone, or does it require being on the same wifi as the Eufy doorbell?

- Answer Yes, you can view the videos and live feed from your cellular device. As long as you have the app and have cell reception you can view. It does not require you to be on the same wifi. This way you can view anytime you are away from the house.

- Answer Battery will charge in about 4-5 hours. But you can't buy an extra battery as it is part of the doorbell. You remove the doorbell from the mounting bracket to charge it.

- Answer Yes. I already have two Eufy cameras operating in my house. When I purchased the Door bell all I had to do was add it to my home base. Works perfectly in conjunction with my existing Eufy cameras

QuestionWhat is to keep someone from walking up and stealing the unit?

- Answer Nothing really, you need to have a special pin to disconnect the doorbell from the mount. Not difficult to find, but they will be on camera being recorded when they do that. You can use that footage to show police if they decide to take your doorbell and file a report. I'm not sure how useful the doorbell will be for crooks as you will still need a base unit for this to work. You can also contact Eufy and see if they can blacklist the serial number so they won't be able to set it up in the future. I'm not sure if that's a feature they have come up with yet. If you see a motion alert and you see someone tampering with your camera you can speak to them through the device telling them you are calling the police. Again, doubt that will stop them.

QuestionI just bought the Eufy video door Bell with the base that came with it from Best Buy. Can I Add another Eufy video door Bell, and if I can where can I get it? I also don’t know what base I have.

- Answer Ok so I if your base looks like the one in the picture on this question you have Eufy Bridge 2. Yes you can add another doorbell to the system and you continue to use the base you have. From what I understand you can purchase the single doorbell at the Eufy store.

- Answer Currently I have a home base 2 and see no way to upgrade storage, other than a usb storage device but, that is something that forums say is still in the works.

QuestionDoes the system work (after setup) with LAN access only? IE, if the internet goes down and you are connected to wifi, do all functions with the app, etc still operate?

- Answer The initial setup is via LAN, but then you can set it up to be wireless via the WiFi network. The unfortunate part is if your power goes down or internet is down, then you can’t use the system.

- Answer No the system requires internet or a router to connect the home base to but if that goes down the door bell part still works. That said in my opinion for me it came down to two things: subscription and where the data is stored. The reason I chose this system is no subscription required because the data is stored locally in the home base and more importantly I choose who gets access to the data and it is not stored in the cloud for some bone head to get to. If you are wondering about being able to share the data with police...no worries as within the last two weeks our local news shared info about a porch pirate caught by a home owners EUFY system.

QuestionCan the Doorbell work with a plug-in wall power adapter? I don't have existing doorbell wires & I rather not charge the battery every 6 moths. I've seen a few plug in wall transformer/power supply adapters that work with Nest/Arlo. Is there one for Eufy?

- Answer I believe the doorbell will work with a power adapter since the doorbell charges via micro USB but keep in mind this doorbell is bound to get wet someday and in order for the power supply to be connected, the rubber piece covering the USB charging port would have to remain open, likely allowing water to enter the port and eventually damaging the doorbell. I would not recommend this. Eufy gives you the option to wire up even on the wireless version, I know you mentioned you dont have wires and you don't desire charging the doorbell but hey, atleast you have the options. Im not sure how arlo and nest are acheiving a full waterproof doorbell with a power adapter add-on. I have the wireless version of this one and I thought it was going to be a pain to charge it up but honestly its not. I usually charge it on a Sunday when the battery starts getting low because thats when im home almost all day. I hook it up for about 2 hours and boom I snap it back on for another 6 months. Can't beat the convenience in my opinion. Good luck!

- Answer I set my floodlight up before I got my doorbell installed and working. I may be wrong, but I think they work independent of each other. They both work through the Eufy app, and it is awesome.

- Answer Yes, you can have it ring your existing chime, as well as have it ring from the doorbell outside, the chime in the base, and Amazon echo devices. You can customize it. You can also buy add-on chimes if you want for around the house. Additionally, if you use an Apple Watch or iOS device you can set it to send an audio alert when someone rings the bell.

- Answer Yes it can be set to wifi only if desired. In my opinion hardwired is the best, but you have the wifi only option.
