When the outdoor temperature drops below -4°F (-20°C), the eufy SoloCam S220 may experience a reduction in performance. This is because extreme cold affects the lithium-ion battery inside the camera. Here is what happens: Temporary Malfunction: The camera may temporarily stop functioning in temperatures below its operational range. Lower Battery Efficiency: While the camera might still operate, the cold reduces the battery's chemical activity, leading to lower battery levels and shorter battery life. Automatic Recovery: Once the temperature rises back within the operational range (-4°F to 122°F / -20°C to 50°C), the camera will resume normal operation, and the battery performance will recover. Additionally, the Passive Infrared (PIR) motion sensor may function less sensitively under cold conditions. It is recommended to increase the motion detection sensitivity in colder weather for better performance.
