“Why can't Best Buy offer pre-orders for Graphics Card? That way they will know the demand for the graphics card. This will eliminate the hassle of constantly refreshing the page and hope the item becomes available.”

To keep the prices artificially high. Someone said it's because of there being shortages in the chips ect but that's a lie. If I was as large as best buy and could order 10000 at a time it can be made in less than 2 weeks. In fact I actually contacted a plant so I could get custom looks and rgb added and they said glad to do it with a minimum order of 1000 and would have them ready within 2 weeks because of the custom design and would run me around 270 each. If you could make a higher price by making a lower supply in a high demand market would you.

Best buy can't pre-order because card manufacturers don't know when they'll have a supply of the cards themselves basically.
