“For this listing the product ID is listed as 12g-p5-3967-kb where as the normal evga card is listed as 12g-p5-3967-kr (kb/kr) at the end, i saw a spec sheet about them and the kb was missing ¨7th gen encoder¨, ¨5th gen decoder¨, is there a difference?”

I spoke with EVGA about this and it is just how they designate their Best Buy cards. No difference in the physical card itself.

Please try again later.It is a marketing mistake. https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/news/rtx-30-series-community-qa/ Search for "NVIDIA Encoder" All 30 series cards have 7th and 5th Gen NVIDIA Decode, period. If the -KB lacks a 7th and 5th Gen NVIDIA Decoder then that would make it inferior to the 20xx series. That is not possible.
