One for each door is needed if you want to see more than one door...you will see whatever passes the "view" of the camera...you point it at the area you want to watch. Most people that can opperate a screwdriver can install this camera.

If you need to save money you could try getting one expensive camera for the front door (or whatever door you feel needs more security) and a few cheaper cameras for the other doors. Also not all cameras need to be installed somewhere, although that would be best. I have several cheaper cameras that are not bolted to the walls. I just have them placed either on a windowsill indoors looking out the window (some but not all cameras can detect motion through a window) or just on hinges outdoors. This means they are portable and I can move them around as needed. I dont think this Ezviz camera has facial recognition software so I dont think it can detect a person vs. say, a dog. I myself just check the cameras regularly and I always look at notifications even though its usually an animal or something that triggered the motion sensor. One other thing I did is to turn my tablet into a security monitor. I just downloaded the app on to a tablet and pull up a live view on the tablet. That way I have a constant view of what's going on outside! An old smartphone can be used this way too.
