• Yes - You have the ability to receive motion detection notifications when they occur. The camera is also configured to initiate recording when a motion event occurs if you have an SD card inserted or you have the cloud play subscription service

• When you set up alerts in the ezviz app you will get a notification once a motion event was captured. I always feel the notifications pop up on my phone almost immediately
