Mine starts getting warm after about 5 minutes of constant use. I'm not sure what "over-heating" looks/feels like, but mine has never shut-down from too much use. Sorry if this doesn't help much. I will say that keeping the teeth lubricated is a really good idea, I just use some clean vegetable oil that has soaked-in on a single, thin paper plate, after maybe an hour of use.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The instructions state 5 minutes continuous run time with a forced 20 minute cool down period if you hit the 5 minute limit.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It has a suggested run time in the instructions with those to maintain the shredder blades too. We shredded a basket full then let the unit cool and oiled the blades before proceeding with additional shredding. Machine worked great with no jamming.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Have run it for 3 or 4 mins with no problem
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.i would say no longer than 5 minutes
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I usually can do only sit an hour at a time, does not heat up at that length of time!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. For the W11C shredder, we recommend a combination of 5 min on / 20 min off to ensure the most optimal machine operation.
