Got this fire cast and the antenna. Can't get it to locate channels. Re-boot and all that, but
no luck. The antenna is kind of odd as it doesn't stand very well and I'm really not close to a window.

Call amazon. The Fire TV recast is no longer produced supported or updated so give them a call

You need to get a signal to the recast, and the antenna shouldn’t move at all because it would mess up the signal… you will need to place a good antenna by a window at least and higher like a an attic if possible
