Record on-air television with this Fire TV Recast DVR. It has two tuners, so you can record two shows at once, store them on the 500GB drive and watch on Fire TV, Echo Show or other compatible mobile devices. Enjoy local news, live sports and late-night shows with this Fire TV Recast DVR.
A: Here is what I know, I have two TV's each with their own FireSticks, I have watched a recording in one room for thirty minutes and stopped because the meal was ready. I then went into the room where the other TV with a FireStick is and resumed watching the show from where I left off. I think it is possible to watch the same show on two tv's at the same time. There are only two tuners and so you can only record a maximum of two programs at the same time. Hope that helps
A: This works with an antenna. Doesn't integrate to Hulu or the like....
A: On live TV No. But on recorded or paused Live TV you can fast forward thru them.
A: There is no fee. You need Amazon Fire TV devices to control this box. You will also need an antenna to attach to it.
Q: will the fire recast work with an old tv or do I need a fire tv
A: I have tested with an older TV using a fire TV stick, so as long as old TV has an HDMI port to use fire TV stick which you can the use to connect to the recast box
Q: Can use use the usb port for external storage space?
A: Yes you can use the USB port for an external hard drive. It's not advertised but in the instruction manual. I have a 1T bite on mine. But you need to remember it only records what comes in on your antenna.
Q: can i use the amazon fire tv cube with the recast instead of a fire tv stick?
A: I think any Amazon streaming device works. Especially the cube
A: Yes. 1 Recast for all TV's with a Firestick. Also will cast to your phone while traveling if you download the app....
