“I'm looking for a device that will record off of cable television and stream programming to other tv's. I see this has a coaxial port for the antenna. Can I use it for this?”

My understanding is no, the coaxial port is only to connect an OTA antenna. From the Recast FAQ- “ You can record any over-the-air live TV program that is available to you via a digital HDTV antenna connected to your Fire TV Recast. You cannot use Fire TV Recast to record live TV programs from any other source, such as cable or satellite boxes or streaming apps.”

Hello, Unfortunately no. This is to record only live feed that comes through the OTA HD Antenna and then is only accessible from a Fire TV Stick device in the same wifi household. You would need a different device that is not in Amazons current line up to do what you are looking for.
