You'll need an internet connection to download the Fire TV app to your Fire Tablet, Android Table, or iPad. You'll need a wireless network to connect the table with the Fire Recast. With an antenna connected to the recast you can then scan for the channels to set everything up. If you have no wireless network you may try connecting a tablet to the recast with a USB cable.

The Recast is just a DVR that sends the information via Wifi to a Fire TV device that is connected to your TV. I hope that answers your questions, have a great day!
