Many people confuse "Internet" with home WiFi. Your home WiFi is a private network while Internet is the world outside your personal home wireless, but accessed through your home WiFi. This device pulls in a digital TV signal through an over the air antenna and broadcasts ("Casts") it to devices attached to your home WiFi network.

Please try again later.Yes this device works with the Amazon fire stick eco system, that's why it works though the internet, the way it works you connect the air antenna to the device and then up to 3 TV's in your house will connect to each other wireless though your house internet. But you will need to purchase a fire stick to each television.

It only requires an internet connection (modem) to setup and to download apps. Once it is up and running it uses your home network (router) to wireless transmit from Recast to Fire TVs.
