No, the unit will only record OTA stations.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Your cable antenna hooks straight into the recast, which then hooks up to your tv or receiver. If you've got other TVs with fire sticks, it'll stream via your wifi to those as well.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I would say no, but all is not lost. Recast works off an antenna input. You could purchase an indoor digital antenna and attach it to the recast. This would allow you to watch and record OTA tv, broadcast in your area. Since the firestick on your tv works with recast, you would be interconnected via your wireless internet and work well. Your coax could remain and you could share best of two worlds. However you could not record the cable programming.
