No, the cable signal is very different than the OTA broadast signals. The Cox coax is basically an internet connection, like Ethernet, in a coax form. There are digital tuners in the Recast, but they're for OTA signals. It's like a radio - it'll do great pulling in FM, but you're not going to listen to a podcast on it.
