• No it won’t record Vudu , it only records the channels you get with the antenna, and yes you need one, it won’t even let you set it up if you don’t start that process.

• Sadly no, that’s why I returned the product, you can’t record anything other than what you connected from the antenna on local channels or the digital channels that come on board, I tried so many things, and couldn’t find a way
