“I purchased a Ring alarm system and First Alert Zwave smoke and CO2 detectors. First alert says their device will communicate directly with the Ring home base hub. Ring says I need to purchase their listening device for each detector. Which is correct?”

• I do not own a ring alarm system. I am able to use this alarm with my own smart hub. I use home assistant OS.
