A previous owner had installed the Model# SC7010BV w/ Nov 2012 manufacture date (First Alert - Hardwired Interconnected Smoke and Carbon Monoxide Alarm with Voice Alert) with a hole in the ceiling wall for the hardwires. With the expiration of the above model (7-Year Limited Warranty), I decided to purchase a different BATTERY-Operated Model# ZCOMBO (First Alert - Smoke and Carbon Monoxide Alarm - Works with Ring) instead of choosing a hardwired model. The Mounting Brackets had the same size specifications, and I easily popped in my NEW Battery-Operated Model# ZCOMBO into the Mounting Brackets that had previously been used for the different and older Model# SC7010BV. I now have a spare Mounting Bracket should anything happen to the one that was installed by the previous owner. Hope this helps!
