• I have the Alta, and it recognizes when I am biking. It doesn't show as steps on your device. It will show up on the app as the amount of time you spent riding. I have found it to be very accurate in tracking my time on the bike.

• I would say no. When my wife uses a jogging stroller she usually has next to no steps counted unless she lets that arm hang down. If you need multi sport try the charge 2. You will get calories counted and time for a bike ride with the HR monitor but no steps.
