• No, I have pedalled and walked on a treadmill at the gym and it does not track those steps. Unfortunately.

• I have the Fitbit Alta. No I don't think it credits you for exercises which are somewhat stationary, like yoga, Pilates, Weight lifting or an exercise bike. It may work on a treadmill however.
