- Answer The Alta does display actual steps and time. Depending on the display option you choose - vertical vs. horizontal - the steps might be abbreviated. So, for example, in the vertical display, 8,100 steps would display as 8.1 K. But, if that's an issue for you, simply change the display mode. The time is clearly and accurately displayed in both modes.

QuestionI ordered the Alta and have not received it yet. I was wondering how the clasp is on the band. I'm afraid after a while of taking it off and putting it on it will wear out the clasp and won't work anymore.

- Answer This clasp is significantly more sturdy and more secure than the flex one was. I don't see this one wearing down easily. It's similar to the flex, in that it is plastic prongs into the rubber holes. However, there's a tapering of the holes and more of a "nail head" design on the plastic prongs. This helps to hold it more securely.

- Answer YES! It will vibrate for calls and when you turn to look at the screen, it will say who is calling. The same for texts. I have experimented and for texts, it will read them up to a certain amount of characters. Idk what the exact count is, but it's a good amount. Long messages will stop with ellipses (...).

- Answer No. The time comes on when you move your wrist upward or double tap but so far I have not seen the option to have it on all the time.

QuestionI just bought my fitbit and am trying to learn how to use it. Is anyone else's hard to tap? Meaning I have to tap it multiple times in a row for it to change between pages. Is this something that gets better with time, or a manufacturing issue?

- Answer The tracker is supposed to be tapped close to the edge of the band. When I do this, I have NO problem getting the display to show! This tip was in the instructions I found online!

- Answer I just wrote a review on the Fitbit Alta when I bought it for a friend. You can't try it on in the store and that was sad because I didn't know what size to purchase since it was a gift. Secondly, don't buy it too early prior to giving it because at Best Buy, you only have 14 days to return it if not satisfied. This is sad. In my opinion, if you have arthritis in your fingers you will have great difficult getting it on and off and snapped. This was the downside to the Fitbit Alta that I just reviewed. In fact, it is still difficult to snap and my friend has worn it for over a month.

- Answer It tells good sleep and how many times restless and add them altogether and tells you how many minutes u loss from sleep mine can read resless 7 times loss 4 minutes sleep 6 hours will even show at what times u was resless very good I really like this .

- Answer Alta can get wet, but shouldn't be worn in the shower or while swimming. It's not designed for prolonged exposure to water or fluctuations in heat, like extreme hot or cold. Not waterproof.
