Does this tracker show the exact steps or does it just show dots like the flex? Also, does it display time? null

The Alta does display actual steps and time. Depending on the display option you choose - vertical vs. horizontal - the steps might be abbreviated. So, for example, in the vertical display, 8,100 steps would display as 8.1 K. But, if that's an issue for you, simply change the display mode. The time is clearly and accurately displayed in both modes.

Yes, you see an actual number of steps. The screen will change from time(digital time) to number of steps to miles to calories burned to active minutes to any alarms you have set up. You can see all this on the Alta and never have to log in on a device.

Yes to both questions. First taps show time and second tap shows the number of steps you have made. Only problem is it takes sometimes up to 4 taps to get time to show, but then works fine.
