QuestionI have a current fitbit flex and hate that the location always has to be on .... does the location have to always be on with this one as I hate having my location set to on with my smartphone

- Answer Yes it does. Bluetooth also has to be connected for it to track as well.

- Answer No. Not even close. There are aftermarket bands that completely cover the actual device, which may help give it some weather resistance, but out of the box it is not at all waterproof.

QuestionDoes it track exercises? It says it Automatically tracks any exercise. Does it know if I am doing Squats, Bench Press, Leg Curl, Seated Cable Row, Deadlifts, etc.?

- Answer It has a small range of exercises but it does not run the gamut of exercises.

- Answer It does have a digital face available as an option. That's the one I use. I found their analog face to be very cluttered and hard to read.

- Answer Though the Fitbit app you can choose between 4 faces, but you cannot as of yet make your own custom face, I am hoping Fitbit will make it an option eventually
