There is a much larger display on the new FitBit HR2; I think it also displays additional information over the old one. The bands are also interchangeable. The main difference, to me, is quality. I had a lot of problems with the FitBit HR charging bracket. The charging bracket kept coming apart with the power cord. BestBuy replaced it once, then it was out of warranty. The rubber molding was falling apart, it looked terrible, then the charging bracket fell off and was lost, so it could not be charged. This was after about a year of wear! The HR2 doesn't have these design flaws and seems much improved.

Please try again later.Jaffer - My husband and I upgraded from the Charge HR to the Charge 2 and this fitness tracker has reminders to move, which the last one did not, text message alerts with the text message running on the screen along with who the text was sent from, the ability to set regular notifications and other alerts, and a guided breathing feature to help you relax, which I have used and it is helpful. The Charge 2 still has other good features of the Charge HR, like heart rate tracking, silent alarms, etc. Highly recommend upgrading to the Charge 2!

Please try again later.It has a larger display using bolder fonts and is a little easier to read in sunlight BUT it's Silent Alarm is a lot weaker then previous models so I'm probably going to return my "Charge 2" and keep using my "HR". PS: the HR is now priced $122,00 at Best Buy
