It actually does pretty well when you're walking on the treadmill. I have noticed that it is a little off in other walking situations, but treadmill with steady strides is fairly dead-on. I don't know about wearing it in ways other than on your wrist. I haven't tried that.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. In regards to your question about the treadmill it was more accurate when I was not holding onto the bar in front of me. I noticed that it didn't pick up nearly as many steps if I was holding on compared to not holding on. It counted my steps when I cliped it to my key ring the other night as well as when I secured it to my belt loop for a presentation!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.U can wear it on the treadmill but you have to move your hand. U can't hold on too tight.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The FitBit Charge will not accurately track your steps on a treadmill. BUT, it has an exercise mode that you activate by pressing the button on the side for 3 seconds. In exercise mode, it will approximate your steps much more accurately on the treadmill.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It did not register my steps at the health club when I was holding the heart rate monitor bars. It did track my steps just fine on my treadmill at home. Have not tried placing it elsewhere, but I know it registers steps while driving and sleeping - so I use the data as a general guide and not dead on factual.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Is you move your arms while walking on the treadmill it will track. If you hold on to handrails for balance, it will not track. Can't answer about the belt.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have found that it is very accurate on the treadmill, as long as you do not hold on the rails. I have found that it does just as good in your pocket as around your wrist.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The Charge tracks steps, diatance and activity minutes very accurately when used on a treadmill. I use it every day on a treadmill and it tracks almost exactly with the treadmill readout. You must set your stride length in "settings" to achieve real accuracy. I can not address your other questions.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If you move your arms while walking or running on a treadmill, it should work fine. If you like to hold onto the rails, the Charge tracker will work if clipped to your belt or in your pocket.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I looked at my Fitbit before and after on the treadmill and counted the steps. It is extremely accurate. Even if your arm isn't moving. I don't know why, but if you walk or jog in place it is not. Somehow it can tell a regular step on a treadmill from a step in place (e.g. in front of the TV). I have not tried clipping it to my belt or putting it in my pocket. I expect that it would still accurately track the steps. If you don't want to wear it because you are dressed up and are female (or dress that way) there are several designer versions from Tory Burch.
