• Yes, I use the Fitbit One daily as an alarm. It has a vibrate mode.

• No there is no alarm on it. However, there are emails sent informing you of goals met and if you need to charge it.

• Yes, very effectively, whether it's a one time alarm, daily alarm, or Mon-Thurs alarm. The subtle silent vibration doesn't disturb anything you're doing, while definitely gets your attention.
