Skiing is not a pre-programed exercise, but the FB Surge does have GPS "distance" monitoring available to track your "distance" along with heart rate and "steps", to give you pretty good estimates of caleries burned (effort). It also can start/stop and vibrate for "interval training", which could allow you to remove breaks or rests in your activity for more advanced exercises or training. It has settings for running, "workout", stationary bike, yoga, pilates, and "walking" among some others.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I am not sure what exactly you want to track, the FitBit surge will monitor your heart rate, your steps, elevation (that is displays in floors). It can differentiate between walking and running. It does not specifically list skiing. I hope this helps. You can go to the Fitbit website and look at the app that supports the device.
