I use my Surge primarily for tracking HR (24/7) for medical reasons. I'm in physical therapy weekly, and my therapist compares the Surge's reading to her professional pulse/ox which she puts on my finger. The Surge's HR is almost always within 5bpm (but eventually, within seconds, gets to the pulse ox's same number) of her pulse/ox finger device. Based on this, we both trust the Surge's data as pretty darn accurate. If you need 100% accurate, you'll want a wearable that "talks" to a separately worn chest strap monitor. (Too cumbersome for me). Otherwise the Surge is great! NO hr wearable is "great" for swimming/water, bc they ALL have to be charged at some point... the charging port is the water entry point of weakness. If you NEED waterproof, you should look to devices like the Withings products that go for months without charging, but they don't track or do as much as the FB products. Worst issue for me... still can't print or download your data, history, or any of the graphs etc.
