My granddaughter is using it to run cross country. I have not subscribed to any premium apps, but she is able to use the GPS features to know how far she's run, and how many steps, She is able to monitor her heart rate and oxygen levels. She also uses the stopwatch. She doesn’t use the feature but it would also monitor if she has sleeping issues.
