A:Answer Yes and No. Most Fitbits do, including this one. I don't trust it, though. Most Fitbits overestimate your heart rate when you move, resulting in overestimating calorie burn. I haven't found an fitness band that uses this "light-based" pulse-detection methodology that measures accurately.
