No, it does not have a backlight.

No backlight - that's one of the drawbacks with this model. You need some light to read the face. Another option is to just open up the app on your phone; you'll need to tap your fitbit to wake it up but it will automatically sync to the app once you tap it, and that way you don't have to worry about a backlight on the fitbit - your phone will have enough backlight to display what data the fitbit has.

No backlight. Very simple display - time, steps, miles and calories. It will track total active time when it syncs to Fitbit dashboard.

I don't think so as I'm checking in the dark no I can see I usually tap it and look at info on my phone
