• Works better on a belt because it is thicker. I put it on the inside pocket where it does not show and can't be knocked off.

• I carry mine in my pocket and it still seems to count accurately.

• Have you tried just tossing it into your pocket without the holder? My mom does that and she says it dosen't fall out and that it tracks everything just fine. Give it a shot!

• I've never had that issue, although I have lost many other pedometers. This is the strongest clip I've had. Maybe you could attach it to a belt.
