Take it back to the store. Best Buy will set it up for you free of charge. Also you can probably find instructions online. Most products are that way now.

Since the answer guidelines prohibit the inclusion of URLs, you'll have to find your own way to fitbit dot com. I'm sure you can handle it from there. Once there, you'll want to download the software for you zip. Run the software and your setup will complete. You don't have to set the time. It will be taken from your computer. The setup is well guided and comes with instructions for use of your zip. Have fun.

Not sure you can turn it off or you would want to .....just take out battery.https://www.fitbit.com/zip#specs

Once you have the app downloaded to your phone and start to set it up, it will sync with your device and take care of the time. The gadget doesn't turn off (that is, until the battery dies).

Please try again later.follow the instructions included for inserting the battery, then log in to the website and set up your FITBIT - you can use a smartphone or PC/Apple computer, tablet or phone to set it up. it doesn't really turn on/off but you can control what data you send to your PC or phone.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.You need to plug the dongle that comes with it into a phone or computer and go to fitbit.com. Select your device and it should activate. It might also work with Bluetooth instead of the dongle, but I never tried it.
