Well this is a ridiculous question but I’ll answer this device can clear check engine light codes and turn that annoying light on your dash off in some cases these codes are left within you ecu from previous repairs or false readings and if your car is acting a little goofy clearing cel codes can sometimes fix issues because with these codes active the ecu is telling your car to run a certain way because it thinks something is wrong when actually there’s nothing wrong and if you download an app called car scanner this app literally tells you everything that’s going on with your car so if you do bring it in for repairs you can go in with some knowledge and make it seem like you’re mechanically inclined so you don’t get ripped off
