• Yes, this device can run x86 applications. Technically it is 32bit Windows 10 running on a x64 capable processor (most likely because of the limited memory) I use mine to run a few games that came out back when Windows XP was still new (2001-2002) for example.

• Yes, you can install any windows app, just like on any windows pc. Do not expect to install games though. It even has powered mini usb port so you can connect ecternal dvd rom or harddrive
