It tracks the number of steps you take. It will display the intensity of your steps in a graph, color-coding the intensity. Running would be displayed as a more vigorous step than just walking would.

Please try again later.depending on what fitbit tracker you have it can. for some of them you have to input it manually on the website. for the more expensive bands i.e. the charge, charge hr or the surge it will track what activity you do. and only the surge has a gps tracker on it
